She has sold over 100 million records and is considered one of the best selling artists in the history of contemporary music. Janet has been popular in the music game since 1973 and has influenced a list of artist that credits her as some inspiration to their music and style such as Lady Gaga, Beyounce Knowles, Brandy, and Maya.
